This is a song about feeling comfortable enough to be yourself around a person you like and then second guessing yourself because in your head you've come up with this idea that you're inadequate. For example thoughts may include, "I'm such a terrible person they're going to think I'm such a weirdo, I'm such a loser for being a 21 year old kid who still watches cartoons. Why did I let this person get close enough to me to figure out all these terrible aspects of me" It turns out that they are just like you, so sometimes life works out sometimes things are nice and I kinda of like that thing that floats around tumblr a lot, "We're all weirdos and love is when you find someone with a mutual weirdness as you." I'm sure I'm paraphrasing or something but i like that idea, I like the Idea of love.
lyrics
The strange things inside of me can no longer be accompanied by self pity and alarming obsessions. I don't know what I'm forgetting to mention? Should I get a coffee or just stay in bed and rest my tired fragile little head cuz there's a hole in it so I'll let you. We can waste the day and just swim in it inside my brain. Inside my brain where you'll probably think that I'm insane.
What a mistake I made why did I agree I should have never let you inside of me because now you'll see this debauchery of the things that I call my thoughts. To my surprise you thought them too so I guess that's why I was into you.
The strange things inside of me can no longer be accompanied by self pity and alarming obsessions. I don't know what I'm forgetting to mention? Should I get a coffee or just stay in bed and rest my tired fragile little head cuz there's a hole in it, there's a hole in it we can waste the day lets waste the day lets waste the daaaaaayyyyayyyy.

The girl singing has such a pretty voice right? She looks even better than she sounds, just kidding. Thanks garage band for making it possible to duet with myself.
